Goodness, I just adore these two! Flora and Bob are two of the happiest, kindest, and genuine people I’ve met and it was a pleasure getting to know them, their families, and friends. There is SO much I want to say about this wedding but I feel that every time I attempt to write all the good stuff it doesn’t do it justice.
Flora is the Events Manager for the beautiful Queen City Club and she coordinated an amazing event! There were so many personalized details throughout the day. One theme you will see is penguins. Through a friend these two learned of a children’s book series called Bob and Flo (how perfect). Bob reached out to the author, Rebecca Ashdown, when he was ready to propose and she designed a custom Bob and Flo penguin themed page to help in the proposal. At Alms park one evening Bob gave Flo the book where at the end Bob the penguin proposed to Flo the penguin. Real life Flo said “YES” to real life Bob. One of my favorite proposal stories ever and I’ve heard A LOT!
Flora isn’t the only employee of the Queen City Club. Giovanni, Flora’s dad, is the General Manager. He is a man that wears his heart on his sleeve and his love for his family shines bright. While pacing slowly waiting for Flora to arrive for their first look, him and I had a quick chat about how excited he was for the day. He couldn’t believe the day was actually here and all the planning was coming to life. He expressed how proud he was of Flora and what an amazing person she is. Always happy, a hard worker, never complains. He then said something that will stick with me for a long time – He said how incredibly happy he was that Flora and Bob were getting married because Bob was her match. He knows Bob will always care and love Flora. Having three kiddos of my own, this is something I pray for nightly. I pray for them to find a partner that will cherish, love, and care for them as much as I do. (cue the tears!)
There are many many more moments I’d love to share and try to put into words but I will stop here and let you get to the photos. To put it simply, Flora and Bob are incredible people who come from two incredible families. Their wedding day was nothing short of that and it was an absolute joy to witness.
